December 19, 2016 P-Day #34

Merry Christmas!!!!
Wow!!! I can't believe Christmas is less than a week away!!! Time FLIES!!
I LOVE this time of the year!!! So magical!
This week has been FREEZING!! We did a Chili stand downtown this week and gave out free chili to homeless people and by the end I was shocked when I took of my shoe and still had all ten toes attached to my foot! It was -20 degrees!!

Luckily we had lots of lessons this week so we didn't have to freeze all week!
We met with Sandra this week! Sister Goodsell was able to ask her to be baptized (again) and this time instead of a "NO" it was more of a "no, not yet" which is great haha!!
She is actually having us over on Christmas for dinner! Which will be so fun and crazy!!

We had our Christmas devotional this week! Which was too good!! Lots of inspiring talks, a talent show and a white elephant gift exchange! I was the lucky recipient of a B-E-A-utiful deer jacket haha! #blessed sadly enough I had to put up a fight to get that bad boy and some stealing was involved!

I got some lovely Christmas packages this week! You guys are really THE BEST!!!
I got this adorable blanket made my adorable grandma lolo!! Sister Missionaries AND Frozen!! I am so lucky! Also featured in the picture...Mocha, my bear given to me by my lovely Sister Dutson

Love you all!! Enjoy Christmas with your families (and mine for me haha)
LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU!!!

December 12, 2016 P-Day #33

Ho ho ho!!

Wow its sure feeling like Christmas around here!!! SO much love and merriness!! I LOVE it!! What a wonderful time of the year to be a missionary!!
Saying goodbye to my Dutsy was HARD!! But I am so happy she is home with her family right now!! We had some great last memories together! We got the works done at sephora and did some shopping! We even got matching hoodies!! SO mcuh love! I got to go with Sister Dutson and my new comp to the temple the day before she left! Such a cool experience!! I love our tiny little temple here (:

I LOVE training!! Its such a wonderful experience!! I am learning so much teaching!! My baby is Sister Goodsell!! Shes Canadian!! From Alberta! LOVE HER!! We complete each-other well! We get along great!!! Life is good here in the city (:

This week has been so crazy and random I can't remember a thing that's happened haha!! So sorry about that!!

LOVE YOU GUYS!!! Thanks for all the love!! I seriously have the best support system in the world!!

December 7, 2016 P-Day #32

Well....its official, I am expecting a baby girl heading my way...TOMORROW!!
I will be training a new missionary this coming transfer!! I don't know much about her yet, but I will fill you all in next week (: I am really excited to be training and to be staying here in Halifax! #blessed
This week flew by and thankfully was much better than last week haha!
We met with a lot of the recent converts this week!
We were able to help a less active student who was baptized early this year move! I LOVE HER!! She is from China and seriously the sweetest person EVER!!  She found out last minute that she had to move and during finals! So we were able to help her out. She was getting rid of a ton of nice nice clothes and gave them all too us!! We were some happy little Sisters (:
We got fed dinner every single night since I last wrote you! Everyone loves Sister Dutson, so they all wanted to be able to spend time with her before she heads home!
Today is my last day with Sister Dutson 😢 I LOVE her!! I am so grateful for this last transfer I got to spend with her! She is such a great missionary and I am lucky to have been able to learn from her these past 6 weeks.
We have a fun filled day planned today as a last hurrah! We are doing all the things we love....makeover at Sephora followed by shopping! 😍 (plus lots of packing haha)
I love you all!! Have a fabulous weeek!! LOVE LOVE YOU!!!

November 26, 2016 P-Day #31

Hey everyone!!
So to start out my email this week I would like to start off with a quote: "When it rains it pours"
Ahhh this week! It was great missionary work wise! We have two new investigators! Dawood and  Clover!
Dawood is a member in the family wards boyfriend. He is from Iraq and started coming to activities and church for his girlfriend but when we met with him he said, "I started to come for her, but when I came to church I never wanted to leave and now I want to be a Mormon." So that was amazing!!
Clover is the friend of a YSA member Joan (who I LOVE) She is from China and is here attending school! She doesn't really have a belief or understanding of God right now so we are starting very simple with her.
Both investigators this week came from members!! Which is just amazing!! I am so blessed to be in an area where the people really understand their role and duty as member missionaries! It helps the work to move along so fast!!
Now for the rain of the week...
Sooo I had an itchy rash (or so I thought) on my feet and legs. I showed the mission nurse and she didn't know what it was so she told me to put some itch cream and give it time. So I did, and it got worse. So I showed a member in the ward, Goldie, who is a nurse.  She told me it looked like flea bites.  Which I was like, " no way! We don't have pets, we're in a new place! Couldn't be!" Haha oh was I wrong! We got home that night and I was putting on my PJ's and saw a little bug on my leg. So I screamed for Sister Dutson and we were like "...it couldn't be" Then it JUMPED off my leg! So we are playing it cool. Just a little bug, not a flea. So we are in the kitchen and I see another on my leg! So I trap it under a tuppperware and I'm lying on the ground watching it jumping around in there when I see another on the ground so I trap it...then another...then another...until we had like ten fleas trapped!!! FLEAS!! Literally we got fleas!! So we alternate between laughing and crying and called everyone and no one really had much advice for us since it was 10pm at night. So we slept in our flea infested apartment and that night and then for a few days until the exterminator came and sprayed.  I slept with flea collars around my ankles....I've never felt more trashy my friends haha but, I did rock them as you can tell from the picture (;
Now I'm sure you're thinking, "this can't get worse" as were we.  That is until Sister Dutson had some tooth pain. So we go to the dentist and find out she needs a root canal!! So we had to deal with that! Poor thing!! It was a rough few days! With many tears, but mostly laughter. Thankfully we both just laughed at our misfortune haha we couldn't believe it!
Whata week I tell you!!! Haha not too sad its over! But with it being over that means this week is my last full week with Sister Dutson!!! :,,,,,( I am SO sad!!!  We are having a blast together!! But, I am so excited for her to be home!! It'll be great!!
We also had a wonderful thanksgiving feast this week with some members that are all young families from Utah up here attending dental school! So never fear! I had a Utahan Thanksgiving even all the way up in Canada (: It was really fun and delicious!!
I LOVE you all!!!! Really don't feel too bad for me! Now that we are over the fleas, I can look back and laugh about it all! Haha!!! AND I have gained some good mission stories, that is for sure!!
LOVE YOU ALL!!!! Thank you for the love and prayers (although I think you must have slacked this week or somethin (; )
-Sister Hird!!!

She's obsessed with her family and friends!

November 21, 2016 P-Day #30

WHAT?! Already Monday again?! Wow how the time is flying!! I feel like I just got here and somehow the transfer is already half over! Which is exciting, because that means Christmas is approaching! But, also sad because that means Sister Dutson and my time together is coming to a close :,( I wouldn't be willing to give her up if it was to anyone but her cute family! But since it is I guess I won't put up too much of a fight haha
I hit my 7 months yesterday! Which seems crazy because I'm pretty sure I just hit my 6 months last week...or at least that's what it feels like!

This week has been soo busy! We met with a lot of our recent converts this week and had lots of activities and meetings to attend!
We met with Helene (the 12 year old investigator who got baptized my first Sunday here) and she has found 30+ names to take to the temple this week for the Young Womens temple night!

We also got to go and meet with Magen and see how she's doing post baptism and let me tell you..SHE IS AMAZING!!!  She was asking us how soon after she has the baby (she hits 37 weeks tomorrow) she can come back to church! She said, " I'm new! I love church! I don't want to miss anything!!" Then we just talked about what she wants in life and how her ultimate goal is to go to the temple, be sealed there and have a family!

Its just so amazing how both the people that have been baptized have such a clear understanding that baptism is not the end goal, but that it is the beginning.

This week I also got to spend a whole two days with my mission mama..SISTA ANDERSON!! Oh my soul how I love her!!! #Blessed As pictured...nothing has changed with us haha

Happy Thanksgiving this week! Don't feel too bad for me, a family from Utah is having us over! Plus I already got Canadian Thanksgiving this year too...So I'd say I'm the real winner here(;

Thank you all for the constant happiness you send my way every week!! You are all such a blessing to me and I am so grateful that I am lucky enough to call you my family and friends 💕

Happy happy happy

-Sister Hird

Also fun fact for the week that I just thought was really funny so I'll share...not once, not twice, but THREE times this week I have been asked if I have Japanese in me? Hahah sooo random! All different people on different days! Needless to say...the bangs are now in the process of being grown out haha

Also second fun fact of the week...a interesting man tricked us into taking a sip of an Alcoholic beverage...don't worry we lived! But its a long story..so I guess you'll just have to wait a few months until I'm home and I'll tell you then (:

November 14, 2016 P-Day #29

BEST WEEK EVER!! (like every week...but still)
I'm just going to go straight to the highlight:
Magen was Baptized!! WOW!! Talk about perfect baptism!! I don't think it could have gone better! It was seriously perfect!! Sister Dutson and I just cried through the whole thing! Magens nonmember mom, grandma and sister cam to support her and they cried through it all as well! The spirit was tangible in that room! Two guys in the ward did an acoustic "When I am baptized" right before we went to the font for the baptism and it was just so perfect and beautiful! The dunk went great, even with her being 8 months pregnant.  Then when she came up out of the water she just made the cutest noise ever.  It was like a laugh/cry, like she couldn't believe she finally was baptized. That's when the water works started, haha Sister Dutson and I went into the hall and just cried happy tears for a minute!
Then following the baptism, Hugh, her boyfriend and father of the baby spoke about Magens example to him and how he is so excited to take this path with her. He is member and is ready to be fully active in the church with her and do what he needs to so they can be a family(:  I can see them in the temple one day. making their family eternal!! They see it too, which is so great! Magen completely understand that baptism is just the beginning.  I am so excited and blessed to get to be apart of that and see  their journey unfold.
Missions are wonderful! Moments like Magens baptism just fill you right up to the top with real lasting joy.  This is what a mission is all about. I have such a testimony of the joy that Alma preaches about missionary work bringing.
It's not always easy, but it is ALWAYS worth it.
I love it here in Halifax! Being over the family ward and ysa is SO much fun!!
The members here really understand their role as member missionaries and it makes finding people to teach so easy! They make this work progress!
Sister Dutson and I are seriously always laughing...and remember how I said we are pretty similar...I don't think its been quiet once since we met! haha its the BEST!! It's not even like having a companion, its like being a missionary with my best friend!
We said goodbye to sister Champoux this week! She is headed to Arizona! So I'm not feeling too bad for her (; I'm glad we got to be comps with her for the short time we did! Shes great!! She'll do wonderful things there!
To top this week off...remember Aelia...my 14 year old investigator back in St.Johns??
Well, Aelia is now a member of the church as well!!! She just got baptized!! I even got to skype her this week and talk to her about it!!!
Life is oh so good!
Love love love you all!! Have a wonderful week full of smiles and sunshine (:
xoxo Sista Hird

ps. if you're reading this and contemplating if you should serve a mission...DO IT!! It will be the hardest thing you ever do, but it will also be the best.  I am learning and feeling so many things I wouldn't be able to any other way!

November 7, 2016 P-Day #28

Hello hello!!!
What a beautiful wonderful week here in the city of Halifax!! This week was madness, but that's pretty normal for the metro! I LOVE it! We are constantly out doing and running around so we are able to see lots of blessings for that! It's a good life!
This week we met with a lot of less actives, recent converts and investigators!
We were able to pick up a new investigator this week! We met with her and shared the message of the restoration with her.  She felt the spirit so strong which brought lots of tears (the good kind) and committed to a baptismal date!! We are sooo excited for her!!
Then....this week we got a call from Bishop Catton and one of our former investigators met with him and wants to get baptized!! Some background on her....She is dating a less active member in the ward. She learned from the missionaries back in April and knew it was all true, but couldn't be baptized because she was living with her boyfriend. She is pregnant with a baby boy and due next month! She just moved in with her grandma, so she is now able to be baptized!! So of course we were freaking out, then he tells us that we should plan the baptism to be in a couple weeks....so we freaked out some more! So we met with her that day and went over the baptismal interview questions and set the date for November 19th. She is so wonderful!! She has such real intent! She has such a strong testimony of the church! Now if you're like me you're thinking, "wow that really can't get better" BUT it did! She came with us to church Sunday, stayed the whole time! Loves it, she's been coming pretty regularly since she first started to learn. After church we get a text from her telling us how happy she was to be at church with us and that the whole time she was there she just had the overwhelming feeling that she needs to get baptized THIS Saturday and not wait until next week. And she wanted to know if that was a possibility!! So we talked to the bishop and he said he thought it was a great idea! SOOOO I have a baptism this Saturday!! 5 days! LIFE IS GREAT!!!
I am having soooo sooo much fun with Sister Dutson! We are seriously so similar! Its been a blast!! This transfer is going so great and I am on a roller coaster that only goes up my friends (:
Love love love you all!! Have a wonderful week!
My inspirational quote for you this week is one that the oh so wonderful Nicole sent me and its so great I had to share!

October 31, 2016 P-Day #27 Happy Halloween!!

HOLY!! This week has been complete madness!!!
I am here in Halifax! Lemme give you the lowdown on my new area! So I am over TWO WARDS!! I just came from one tiny tiny branch and now I am over a family ward and a YSA Branch!! So that is super exciting!! The area is absolutely booming!! We are also technically the office sisters as well! But we don't have to do much office work because we have a WONDERFUL service missionary, Sister Street! She is also technically our companion as well! #Quadgoals But she doesn't live with us or live the same way missionaries do, but when we are with her the same rules apply as they do to regular companions! She does lessons with us sometimes and we come in a help with the office work when she has a lot! So we are kept nice and busy! Which I LOVE! It makes me feel so productive and I just work well when I have lots to do(:
My companion is Sister Dutson...I LOVE HER!! I have been hearing about her my whole mission because missionaries are always telling me we are so alike! Which we are! Its going to be a seriously fun transfer! She is from Logan, so our home is pretty similar(: this is actually her last transfer! So I am killing (mish lingo) her off!
We are serving in Halifax! So we are in the city! There is a constant hustle and bustle always! Everything is go go go, which I love!
This week was complete madness! I flew out of St. Johns on Wednesday morning.  Then I landed in Halifax where I was greeted by my adorable mission mother (more mish lingo) Sister Anderson! I got to spend their P-day with them, yes, I got two P-days last week! P-day in Newfoundland is a day before the rest of the mission since we have too fly to our new areas, so I had P-day before I left and then again the day I arrived #blessed
Then I met Sister Dutson Wednesday night and it was instant love! We are seriously going to have too much fun! Then Thursday we got to go to the temple!!! I LOVE the Halifax temple! New favorite temple for sure!! It was so so so wonderful to be able to go there and really remember that that is the end goal for the people we are working with. The temple.  Baptism is a step, a necessary step, but only a step.  The end goal is the temple and going in with that mindset made the session so much more meaningful! Since I am serving in the metro I get the opportunity to go to the temple at least every transfer and possibly more if we have recent converts going (which we do have some lined up)
Then we got our third companion, Sister Champoux! She is from Quebec and will be with us for a week! She is going to the Arizona mission and was waiting for her visa, which came so she will be leaving the 8th of November (:
Then Thursday night we had a lesson with our investigator Helene.  It was the last lesson before baptism!! She was baptized yesterday!! I had only been in the area 4 days and I already got to see a baptism!
Then we spent all day Friday packing because we had to move apartments! Our apartment was meant for 4 sisters, so we had a lot more space than needed.
Then Saturday was spent actually hauling and moving everything and doing all the baptism prep!
The new apartment is SO NICE!! WOW! It is brand new and b-e-a-utiful! Everything is still in boxes basically, but other than that all is well!
Then Sunday we had Stake Conference and the baptism! Helene is a Less Actives 12 year old daughter! I feel so lucky that I was able to be there! It really tugged at my heart strings, because it reminded me so much of Nathan and Natasha's situation. In this moms efforts to come back to church she was also able to bring her sweet daughter into the fold of God. It was a beautiful day!!
Happy happy happy! I am so glad to be here! Saying goodbye to St. Johns wasn't easy, but I know that I am exactly where I need to be! (:
This is really going to be a wonderful transfer!! I am so excited to be in the metro! I am around so many missionaries!! Plus we are over the YSA Branch!! So we go to two full wards every Sunday! 6 hours of church! Which I am sure sounds like a lot, but as a missionary church is the most relaxing chill thing we do all week(:
Life is goood!! I am happy happy happy! Busy bee up in here!
Love you so so much!! Thank you so much for all the love and prayers!
-Sister Hird

October 25, 2016 P-Day #26

***The news is in!!! I am going to Halifax!!!! With Sister Dutson from Utah! I have heard so many good things about her so I am sooo excited!! I'll be serving around Sister Anderson again!!!***

Hello hello! Sister Hird here reporting from Newfoundland for the last time! That's right! I just found out that I will be leaving the Rock that has been my home for the past 6 months! CRAZY! I won't know where I am going until later tonight when they post the transfer letter! So I'll hop on right after and just sent a quick message to let you all know where I am headed!
I can't believe I am leaving!! I hit my 6 months this past week and all that time has been spent here in St. John's! I am excited to see more of the mission but sad to have to say so many goodbyes at the same time! I know that I am going where Heavenly Father needs me, so all is well (:
This week has been crazy! We had a lot of branch activities this week! We had a sports night with the young men and young women Wednesday, and then we had the branch babysitting night Friday, then a chili cook-off and Trunk-r-Treat Saturday! Which I got to dress up for!!  Ahhh yes!! It was awesome!! I was Cruella Deville! Which was my cheapest costume to date! Angela our investigator gave us a ton of coats last week and one of them was just perfect for Cruella! The rest was stuff I had! So all I had to buy was the hair spray(: Gooood times!! My cute Sister Lofgran was my dalmation! Sooo Fun!
This week you are going to get so many pictures!
Last P-day after e-mailing we went up to Bay Roberts and spent the day with the Elders there and the Senior Couple, The Domans! Who are like my favorite people ever!!
We met with a lot of Less actives this week, which I always love!
Have a good week! I love love love you!
Pretty please pray that I can get my bags to the necessary weights before I fly out tomorrow(; Hahahah I wish I was kidding... (:
Love you!!

October 17, 2016 P-Day #25

Another week has come and gone already??? Man that happens fast!! I hit my 6 month mark this week and I can't believe it!! 1/3 of my mission right there!
This week was great!! First off, Canadian Thanksgving was great!! Sooo yummy! I've never been so full!!
Remember the investigator Angela I told you about last week? And her niece Meg that I asked you to pray for?? WELLLLL our prayers were answered!! She was at our lesson this week and we were able to pick her up as an investigator!!  The lesson went sooo wonderful!! We, with the help of Angela haha taught the whole restoration to Meg! We went over the intro to the Book of Mormon with her too! It was SO GOOD! HOLY!! Meg was holding the BOM and looked at us and said, "I just feel like I need this so bad.  I am searching for something.  I just need something that I can just hold on to" As she clutched the Book of Mormon to her chest! On the inside I was crying happy tears and shouting "YES YES YES", but don't worry on the outside I played it cool(;
We were able to meet with Aelia twice this week! She's great! She just loves the Wickham family so so so much!! It's great!! So we do our lessons with them! I love the way Nathan and Natasha both contribute so much to the lessons! It brings such a power and also shows how much they have grown and continue to grow in the gospel!
Life is oh so good out here on "The Rock" that is Newfoundland! Transfers are next week, which is just maddness to me! I can't believe it! Right now I feeling like I am going to stay here...but who knows?? That would be a really long in one area...but I'd be 100% happy with it! I just love it here!
When I e-mail next Tuesday I'll know if I'm staying or not, so stay tuned folks(;
Well, have a wonderful week!! I love love love you all and hope you are happy happy happy!! Remeber, "Happiness is a state of mind.  It's just according to the way you look at things." -Walt Disney
Be happy always, because it’s a choice my friends(:

October 10, 2016 P-Day #24

Every week is a good week...and this week was no exception!!
We were able to teach our two elderly women investigators and they are just great!! It is hard for people who have grown up in a religion to change and accept something different, but they are both trying so hard to understand and know for themselves what God wants them to do!
Angela, one of these investigators surprised us by having her 19 year old niece there when we showed up for our lesson #dreams
We were originally going to teach the plan of salvation, but, Angela hadn't read from the Book of Mormon since the last time we had taught her so instead we read where she is at in the BOM.  Before we could even start to explain the Book of Mormon to Meg (her niece) Angela started to teach her the restoration using terms like "apostasy and priesthood" and she really emphasised how our church was RESTORED "not like the other churches where man just changes things" It was AMAZING!! She really knows her stuff! The lesson was so great! We are excited to go back to Angela's this week and see if Meg comes again.  We invited her but she wasn't sure if she would be able to make it! So pray for Meg pretty please!!(:

Aelia is on date for November 5th, which will be next transfer...so maybe I'll just stay in Newfoundland again?? That would be a really long time for one area, but I just love everything about this place so much I could serve my whole mission here and be completely happy!!

We had our exchanges this week, so we traveled up to Gander for that! I got to do a familysearch booth at a craft fair there! Soooo fun!! We use family history as a way to find people to teach (: Sister Olsen (my sister training leader who I was on the exchange with) and I had a wonderful exchange together!! LOVE HER!

Happy thanksgiving by the way!!! Today is canadian thanksgiving! So yesterday we ate thanksgiving supper with two families in the branch and then today we are being fed at noon by Lori and then again at 5:30 by the Wickhams! 3 Thanksgivings, 2 days, I am living the dream people!!

Its constant smiles around here, I love being a missionary (:

October 3, 2016 P-Day #23

Whatta week!!
This week has been wonderful!!  We were able to teach our investigator Rachel..and she had a friend there! So we got a new investigator from that as well!! So great! And we took Nathan and his family to the lesson, which was soo great! Nathan was able to simply testify of the truth of prophets and why we need them today! It was amazing!!
We are also teaching Aelia again!! My 14 year old investigator from when I first got here! She called us this week and said. "You know that baptism thing...yeah I know I need to do that" So we are teaching her once again and she came to ALL of general conference with us!!
CONFERENCE!! Wow oh wow!! We are so so lucky to live in this dispensation! We are blessed with all the guidance we could ever need in life! We have a living Prophet who spoke to us! I loved this conference! It was so cool to know that all around the world we were doing the same thing! As I sat there watching I knew my family was doing the exact same thing and hearing the exact same words! AMAZING! It's funny, conference here was at 1:30 and 5:30! So not so much morning and afternoon sessions haha!
I love being a missionary!! It brings me so much joy and happiness everyday! I love being around missionaries, members and Gods children.  I love the opportunity I have to remind people of their divine heritage every single day! We are children of the Almighty God and He loves us.  How great He is and in turn, how great YOU are!
Find a reason to laugh...hard, everyday this week (: I promise it makes life SO much better!

September 22, 2016 P-Day #22

The long lost has returned! Haha sorry I missed last week! Crazy times!
This past week has been BUSY! But, so so goood! We got two new investigators this week! Met with a lot of less actives/ Recent Converts and have had just a swell time!
We had zone training this week as well, so we traveled up to gander, then on to grandfalls for the meeting! I love trainings because being around other missionaries is always just so great! It helps so much to meet together and find ways to improve our missionary work!

We also got to watch a re-broadcast of the women's session of General Conference.  Because we are 3 and half hours ahead of you folks in Utah, it was too late for us to watch it live! So the branch women gathered together last night and we watched it together and ate ice cream and it was wonderful! How lucky we are to live in a time where we have a prophet and general authorities to lead us to do Gods will for us!
That is one thing as I have been on my mission that I have realized I took for granted! Living in Utah and growing up in the church I never realized that to people that are not of our faith the fact that we claim to have a living modern prophet is craziness! To me growing up I just always knew there was a prophet and didn't realize where the rest of the world was at! I am so grateful that I KNOW, beyond know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God and that he is called to lead us back to our heavenly home with our Heavenly Father. I CANNOT wait for General Conference this week!! WE ARE SO BLESSED!!

I love love love you all and hope your week is as magical as you are!!

Peace and blessin'
-Sista Hird

Fun fact: If you know me, you know that I have this need to constantly change my hair and on a mission that isn't always easy or practical...but if you know me, you know I find ways!

New Bangs!

September 13, 2016 P-Day #20

Hello hello!!
This week has been wonderful!! So calm compared to last week! We have been meeting with lots of people and the work is progressing so much!
We had our district conference (equivalent of stake conf.) this week as well! So President Pratt was here! Boy I just love him!! He is so amazing and always gives such amazing guidance!! He pretty much told me I am staying here in Newfoundland another transfer!! But I won't know for sure until they post the transfer table tonight! I'll be happy either way!  I love it here so another transfer sounds wonderful to me!!
We are working with a few new investigators and one of them, Rachel, came with us to the branch pot luck we had after District meeting Saturday! So that was really fun and exciting! We had a great lesson with her this week with a member! Member are just so awesome at lessons! We asked Rachel if she would read the Book of Mormon and she said, "Yes I will try to" and the member goes,"Rachel..you'll TRY?? Thats just not good enough!! Do you have to TRY to read the bible?? Nope! Didn't think so, you just DO it! So what are you going to do with the Book of Mormom??" and shocked Rachel goes, "I WILL read the Book of Mormon"
It was awesome, funny, but awesome! It really showed her how important it is for her to really read it! Because we've told her, but coming from someone who is not a missionary makes it so different!!
Soo if the missionaries ask you to go to a lesson with them, DO IT!!! They will love you forever!!
We saw a moose this week driving to Gander for exchanges!
Yes, Canada is actually every stereotypical thing you think about it(;
